Passport photos play an important role in identification while traveling abroad. Passport photos need to follow certain strict rules and one of them is having a clear background. However, if you are in a hurry and do not have time, you can either use Photoshop or an online tool such as Photoforid to make your passport photo perfect. Let’s discuss.

If you are already familiar with Photoshop, you should know it comes with a variety of features and tools like removing background. If you are not too concerned about the edges being neat, then this tool will suffice.

Another way of removing background in Photoshop is using the Background Eraser Tool. First, you will need to upload the photo and then select the Background Eraser Tool in the Photoshop toolbox. Keep in mind that using the eraser tool is going to be a bit difficult.

The end result might not be that clear as it cannot handle the edges very well. So, make sure that you choose the right brush size. Larger brushes will get the job done quickly but won’t work in tight areas. Moreover, always keep a backup of the original file.

If you are using the original file, you may not be able to recover its original form while using the eraser tool.

If it’s your first time using Photoshop, it could take you a while to get used to the features but there is no need to worry. There is an alternative that will help you come up with the perfect passport photos without putting in any time or effort.

That said, Photoforid is an excellent online passport photo tool that is powered by Artificial Intelligence and other features and tools like automatic picture cropping and resizing. All you need to do is visit the site and upload your photo.

Next, select the country and photo type. Then, click the ‘Submit Photo’ button and Photoforid will begin processing. Your passport photo should be ready within a few seconds. However, keep in mind that your uploaded photo should follow the basic passport photo standards. If not, Photodorid may not be able to process the photo and will ask for manual editing.
