Do you ever feel like your personality has drastically changed over the years? Do you ever feel like wiping off all traces of your past self? Does it ever hit you to delete all your social media accounts and head to a fresh start? Well, you are not alone. This happens to many and all of them tend to delete their old Twitter accounts completely.

But…have you ever considered the consequences of deleting your account permanently? Firstly, Twitter is a HUGE social media platform. It makes it easier for you to keep in touch with what’s happening across the globe. Be it politics, fashion, or climate change, Twitter always instantly brings you the latest updates. By deleting your Twitter account, you don’t want to start living under a rock, do you?

If you plan to delete your current account and create a new one, there are still noteworthy consequences. Deleting your account will mean that you lose all your followers and the people you are following. If you make a new account, you will have to manually search for the friends, celebrities, or politicians that you want to follow again. Now that sounds like a tiresome task, doesn’t it? Similarly, your likes, comments, and messages, everything will be gone. So why bother? How about you simply delete all your past tweets at once and keep your current account instead of permanently deleting it? Now that sounds like a reasonable thing to do.

Easy Tweet Deleter

Deleting all past tweets manually can take ages. To avoid this you should consider using Easy Tweet Deleter (ETD). Easy Tweet Deleter is an easy-to-use tool that allows users to delete all their past tweets in bulk with a single click. With ETD, you can either bulk delete all your tweets at once, or search and delete old tweets based on different time frames and keywords. It works with both tweets and retweets, and even with media links. Using East Tweet Deleter is pretty straightforward.

1. Download Twitter Data

To begin with, you first need to download all your Twitter data as an archive to your computer. To do so, head to the Settings section of your Twitter account & select Your Account. Click on Download an archive of your data. You’ll now be asked to enter your password. Once you have done so, you’ll be able to download your Twitter data archive file.

2. Sign In to Twitter

Now, you need to head to Easy Twitter Deleter and sign in using your Twitter account. While signing in, make sure you grant ETD all necessary permissions.

3. Upload Data on Easy Tweet Deleter

From the first step, you will get a .json or .js file downloaded to your computer. Upload this file to ETD’s server and let it be processed.

4. Sort & Delete!

Once the uploaded file is processed, you will be able to apply search filters, select, and delete tweets. Depending on how many tweets you wish to delete, it might take some time. Nevertheless, the wait is worth the while. Note that once you delete your tweets, you will not be able to recover them.

Pricing

With a free Easy Tweet Deleter account, you can delete up to 50 tweets per day. The free version is not ad-free but it does allow keyword and date/time searches so it is still good enough. You can also opt for a 1-year plan or a lifetime plan, which cost only $9.99 and $19.99 respectively.

Even if you are hesitant to use Easy Tweet Deleter, we would still advise you to consider deleting past tweets instead of permanently deleting your account. This will save you from regretting it later on 😉
